I decided after Christmas I would like to do a couple of genre-themed months this year. Just to mix it up a little and have some fun, well, hopefully. I chose to read fantasy for February, especially as I want to read Katherine Arden’s THE BEAR AND THE NIGHTINGALE. I mean, what could be more perfect than reading fantasy during the dark, cold depths of winter?
I’m having a long hard think about what books to choose, and don’t want to commit myself to a certain number, but do want to make a list of potential reads, you know, because. Who doesn’t love making lists, right?
So I’m thinking of reading:
- THE BEAR AND THE NIGHTINGALE — Katherine Arden
- SCYTHE — Neal Shusterman
- THE KINGDOM OF COPPER — S.A. Chakraborty
- THE BLACK KHAN — Ausma Zehanat Khan
- EMPIRE OF SAND — Tasha Suri
What do you think, will five keep me out of mischief for the whole of February, or should I add a couple more titles? I’m thinking maybe I need another five books. If you have any favourites or recommendations you think I should read, let me know in the comments!
