So we got our shots yesterday, but we’re talking the trifecta; covid, flu and pneumonia. It seemed like a good idea at the time, as they were offering them all at once, and for free because, well, me and mine are both over 50 so lucky enough to be in the right age bracket. But in truth, this morning, waking up was soooooo slow. I felt like my brain was full of molasses, and my arm? Throbbed.
Though it’s true, not as bad as I thought it might. Still, compared to last year, when we did the same thing, this time round I felt like I was running a fever late yesterday afternoon. I don’t remember any untoward adverse affects last year. But then, that just might be a faulty memory and time having passed.
Would I recommend having them all at once? Yep. I still think it best to get them all done with in one go. Now I feel armed again a winter of discontent, especially as the numbers here have already spiked, and we’re not fully into the season yet. God help us all.
Good on you! It may also be that the formulations have changed as they prep for current / upcoming variants. Possibly too, your own health status at the time might make a difference. Hope the ill-effects wear off soon.
Thanks. We are a little fanatical about getting our shots. And yes, you could be right about the difference in formula, as each season it’s reformulated for the dominant strains.
Thankfully, the worst of the symptoms wore off by later afternoon Sunday. I feel so much better today.
