WWW Wednesday

Welcome to WWW Wednesday, a meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words in which you answer three simple questions about what we’re reading: What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next? I am currently reading: I started CARDINAL: Forty Words For Sorrow by Giles Blunt yesterday and I’m already a third of the way through. This is both crime fiction and something of a police procedural, in which John Cardinal is the lead detective in a series of missing children cases that are, somehow, all linked. What’s more, the series is now a dramatic TV show here, in Canada, on CTV TV starring Billy Campbell in the lead role. Snippets Of News

I didn’t have a post planned for today, as I was supposed to be out, but we had to reschedule, also my hair appointment was moved to later today. So, here I am, throwing together a quick post to share with you some snippets of news, as found over on Twitter. First up Louise Penny is sharing the good news that her 15 book, A BETTER MAN, will be released later this year, on August 27th. For more news about her work and the loss of her beloved dog, Bishop, you can check out her March newsletter. I also found out after tweeting with the wonderful Kathleen Kent, author of the crime thriller, THE DIME, which I reviewed here, that her second book, THE BURN—also featuring Detective Betty Rhyzyk—is finished. With ARCs being made available during Bouchercon this autumn, with a planned released in Feb 2020. Gawd, can I wait that long? So, there you have it.
