Today I want to share some of my fav flowers, Coneflowers, as they are commonly called or, maybe better known as, Echinacea. Yes, those health-giving flowers associated with colds and flu season. Thank you to the Swiss for that one.

“Echinacea is a genus of herbaceous flowering plants in the daisy family. It has ten species, which are commonly called coneflowers.”

What I love is not only the variety of colours, but the spiky centre cone, which also varies in colour—from pale lime to deep green, to vibrant reds and yellows. So many gardens plant these wonderfully versatile flowers here about so I’m never at a loss to go find and photography one, or many. Enjoy!
