Week Note Jun 3-9

I haven’t written a weeknote in ages but I think it’s time to get back into a more regular pattern, especially as it helps me remember what I’ve done (or not done) throughout the previous week.

Personal

While #Junited2024 continues it seems I’ve fallen off the bandwagon somewhat, as I missed posting links to anything this weekend. That’s what happens at weekends, family have other ideas on how you should spend your time and, well, blogging gets relegated on the ToDo list to somewhere below cleaning the toilet.

My partner’s aunt has been moved to the long-term hospital across the road from us and, because my dear sister in law is on holiday all this week up in the north, we’ve been volunteered to not only visit but collect her laundry for cleaning. Given my SiL lived 30 minutes out of the city, it’s looking like we’ve now been volunteered permanently to cover said duties for the foreseeable future. I shouldn’t complain as this duty will fall mainly to my OH, not me.

Media

We’ve been getting stuck into a few TV shows this last week, including:

  • Star Wars: Acolyte (Disney +)
  • Janet King (Acorn TV)
  • Hidden Assets (Global TV)

I also bought Steve Berry’s latest book, The Atlas Maneuver this last weekend. I do love his Cotton Malone series and I’m looking forward to reading this one.
